Ginger tea with cinnamon recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/4 medium size fresh ginger root
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 cups of water
  • Optional:
  • sugar or honey to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean and cut the ginger in round slices about 1/4 of an inch thick.
  2. Put the ginger, the whole cinnamon sticks and the water in a medium size sauce pan.
  3. Bring to a boil on medium heat and simmer on medium low for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Serve as is or add your favorite sweetener.
